GBE is a star, MSFT busy, SGOC sinks

Grubb & Ellis Co. (NYSE: GBE) added 18.26 percent in price Monday to $1.36. Volume of 1,407,630 shares proved more than four times its full-day average. GBE is a leading real estate services and investment firm out of Santa Ana, Calif.

Microsoft Corp. (Nasdaq: MSFT) traded in 33,909,397 shares, making it a volume leader, but still below its daily average of 61,214,100. Share prices moved down 0.37 percent to $27.80. Microsoft and China Mobile signed a strategic cooperation memorandum on Friday.

SGOCO Technology, Ltd. (Nasdaq: SGOC) gave back 37.12 percent in price Monday to $5.03, on volume of 230,400 shares, its daily average not available at press time. The Chinese-based SGOC is a national distributor, designer and manufacturer of flat panel displays.

IRE above crowd, MSFT busy, KUTV bruised

Bank of Ireland (NYSE: IRE) gained in price by 17.11 percent to $2.16 Monday afternoon. Volume of 30,914,748 shares was near quadruple IRE’s normal full-day average volume.

Microsoft Corporation (NasdaqGS: MSFT) fell in price 63 percent to 26.85 nearing the bell Monday. The company traded in 23,942,216 shares, while making it a leader in volume, it was still considerably below MSFT’s daily average of 62,814,900. Microsoft announced monday announced the “Cloud CRM for Less” offer for Salesforce.com and Oracle customers.

Ku6 Media Co. Ltd. (NasdaqGM: KUTV) stumbled in price 11.87 percent Monday afternoon to $7.05, on volume of 179,666 shares, nearly three times its full-day average. KUTV is leader in online video portal operations in China.

MTSL mounts charge, MSFT solid, AWR takes on water

MER Telemanagement Solutions Ltd. (NasdaqCM: MTSL) improved 32.04 percent in price to $2.72 as Thursday’s session wound down. Volume of 153,319 shares was twice-and-a-half MTSL’s normal full-day average volume. Microsoft Corporation (NasdaqGM: MSFT) was among the volume leaders late Thursday afternoon, trading in 74,178,631 shares, outpacing its full-day average of 57,943,600. MSFT shares inched up 3.19 percent to $26.87. Thursday, Norton Healthcare announced it had entered into an agreement with Microsoft Corp. to use its health solutions platforms, Microsoft Amalga Unified Intelligence System (UIS) and Microsoft HealthVault

American States Water Company (NYSE: AWR) lost 8.40 percent in price Thursday to $34.13, on volume of 414,085 shares, or nearly five times its full-day average. Through its subsidiaries, AWR provides water service to approximately 256,000 Californians and to over 13,000 customers in, Arizona.

GIGA gallops, MSFT heavy volume, ICGN pained

Gigatronics Inc. (NasdaqCM: GIGA) gained 18.72 percent to $2.60 at Wednesday’s close Volume was 103,119 shares, whereas its normal daily volume is 8,531. The San Ramon, Calif.-based GIGA announced today that it has received orders in excess of $4.8 million to supply microwave test equipment for the automation of production at contract manufacturers in China. The products supplied are part of Giga-tronics’ microwave signal switching family. These orders are expected to ship this Fiscal Year.

Icagen Inc. (NasdaqGM: ICGN) dropped 13.76 percent in Wednesday afternoon trading, to $1.88, on volume of 2,640,381 shares, compared to its average daily volume of 171,532. The North Carolina-based ICGN today provided an update on its sodium channel program for pain and related disorders which is being conducted in collaboration with Pfizer. Based upon data obtained in this study, the companies have now selected one of these compounds to advance into further clinical studies. The selection of this compound has triggered a milestone payment to Icagen of $1.0 million.

IIIU prospered, MSFT in the dock, VTRO eases back

Information Services Group Inc. Units (NasdaqGM: IIIIU) picked up 14.52 percent in price Monday afternoon to $2.76. Volume of 202,660 shares was nearly four times its three-month average share volume. The Stamford, Conn.-based IIIIU is an industry-leading, information-based services company.

Microsoft Corp. (NasdqqGS: MSFT) traded in 35,199,138 shares Monday, compared to its three-month average share volume of 61.6 million. Prices for the company were fairly flat at $25.25. The U.S. Supreme Court Monday agreed to review a $200-million patent infringement verdict against Microsoft. Toronto-based I4I Limited Partnership owns the patent on editing custom XML, a computer language. The company sued Redmond, Wash.-based Microsoft, alleging the XML editor in some versions of Microsoft Word infringed on the patent.

Vertro Inc (NasdaqCM: VTRO) faded in price by 11.75 percent Monday afternoon to $6.01. Volume was 755,212 shares proved more than seven times its usual three-month average share volume. New York-based VTRO is an Internet company that owns and operates the ALOT product portfolio. These apps are developed in-house and by third party app developers and are designed to enhance the way people interact with content online.
