ERFW wired, ESYR active, CYIO flounders

ERF Wireless Inc. (OTCBB: ERFW) rose 108.7 percent in price to 2.4 cents Thursday. Volume for the stock was 5.75 million, way over its normal daily average of 1.84 million. The Texas-based ERFW is a leading provider of enterprise-class wireless broadband products and services.

EcoSystem Corp. (OTCBB: ESYR) dealt in 70.6 million shares Thursday, compared to a daily average of 29.2 million. Prices were flat, however, at one-100th of a cent. ESYR is innovating industrial-scale applications of bioreactor technology that are designed to resolve compelling ecological challenges while producing valuable products.

CYIOS Corp. (OTCBB: CYIO) saw its price take a header Thursday, falling 41.7 percent to seven-10ths of a cent. Volume for the stock was 150,000 shares, nearly double its daily average. CYIO makes CYIPRO, a business transformation tool that utilizes the first project based operating system.

LXRX jumps, INTC high volume, KOOL cools

Lexicon Pharmaceuticals Inc. (Nasdaq: LXRX) shot 31.8 percent in price Thursday to $1.99. Volume was an astonishing 15,051,137 shares, whereas normal volume is below one million. The Texas-based biopharmaceutical concern announced data from a recently completed clinical trial and mechanistic study of a solid oral dose formulation for LX4211, a dual inhibitor of sodium-glucose co-transporters 1 and 2 (SGLT1 and SGLT2).

Intel Inc. (Nasdaq: INTC) traded in 69,323,510 shares, surpassing a full-day average of 54,361,400. Prices for the stock lost 1.2 percent to $20.69, as the fallout from the impending purchase of McAfee by Intel.

Thermogenesis Corp. (Nasdaq: KOOL) fell 11.6% to $3.28 Thursday, on volume of 358,525 shares, better than 3 ½ times its daily average. KOOL, a leading supplier of innovative products and services that process and store adult stem cells, said today it has filed a shelf registration statement on Form S-3 with the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC).

IBCP higher, BAC busy, MCP downward

Independent Bank Corp. (Nasdaq: IBCP) shot 42 percent in price Thursday to $2.30. Volume of 859,892 shares trounced its daily average of 140,452. IBCP is the holding company of Independent Bank, a Michigan-based community bank.

Bank of America (NYSE: BAC) was again among the volume leaders, trading in 156,548,729 shares, catching up on a full-day average of 218,378,000. Prices for the stock lost one percent to $14.36.

Molycorp Inc. (NYSE: MCP) fell 11% to $54.00 Thursday, on volume of 9,154,013 shares, better than double its daily average. Colorado-based MCP is the only rare earth oxide, or REO, producer in the Western Hemisphere.

NEGS has legs, CMGR scares up business, GERS down

NX Global Inc. (OTCBB: NEGS) leaped 254.2 percent to 85-100ths of a cent Thursday, on volume of 84.2 million, towering over its all-day average of 4.2 million. The main products and services offered by NEGS are the Ozone Laundry System ‘OLS’, Lighting Upgrades, Mechanical Systems ‘HVAC’, Water/Sewer Conservation Methods and Energy Management.

Camelot Entertainment Group Inc. (OTCBB: CMGR) was a volume leader, trading Thursday in 196.6 million, rapidly catching up on an all-day average of 263.2 million. Share prices were flat, though, at one-100th of a cent. CMGR announced today that that DarKnight Pictures “NEVER SLEEP AGAIN: THE ELM STREET LEGACY” has been named the number one horror DVD of 2010.

Greenshift Corp. (OTCBB: GERS) saw its price sliced in half Thursday to one-100th of a cent. Volume for the stock was 512, 500, compared to a daily average of 62.3 million. The Company develops and commercializes clean technologies designed to integrate into and leverage established production and distribution infrastructure to address the financial and environmental needs of its clients.

MAG magnificent, F strong, WSCI slips

Magnetek Inc. (NYSE: MAG) shot ahead 13.7 percent in price Wednesday to $1.58. Volume of 381,794 shares proved more than five times its all-day average. The company is a leading provider of digital power and motion control systems.

Ford Motor Company (NYSE: F) traded in 80,027,294 shares, to within spitting distance of its daily average. Prices for the stock gained 3 percent to $17.90. The car maker yesterday reported 2010 sales figures of 1.935 million units, up 19 percent from 2009.

WSI Industries Inc. (Nasdaq: WSCI) dropped 22.1 percent Wednesday to $5.10, on volume of 49,764 shares, eclipsing its full-day average of 30,152. Wednesday, the Company  reported quarterly sales of $5,528,000, a 29.9% increase versus the prior year amount of $4,254,000. Net income was $69,000 versus $163,000 in the prior year first quarter.
