OCZ takes off, BAC busy, RGS misfires

OCZ Technology Group Inc (NasdaqCM: OCZ) gained 16.55 percent in price Thursday to $4.79. Volume of 3,360,842 shares trampled its full-day average of 187,183. San Jose-based OCZ, a leading provider of high-performance solid-state drives (SSDs) and memory modules for computing devices and systems, today announced that certain shareholders of OCZ Technology Group, Inc. have signed definitive agreements with various institutional and accredited investors for the sale of OCZ common stock. OCZ will not receive any of the proceeds of such sale.

Bank of America Corp. (NYSE: BAC) traded Thursday in 135,742,489 shares, catching up on its daily average of 211,203,000. BAC share prices gained 3.13 per cent, to $12.68.

Regis Corp. (NYSE: RGS) reversed 10.31 percent Thursday to $16.44. Volume of 3,063,146 shares more than tripled its full day average. RGS is the global leader in the $150-$170-billion hair care industry.

USVO spectacular, CMGR flat, DKAM loses fizz

USA Video Interactive Corp. (OTCBB: USVO) rocketed up 230 percent to 3.3 cents Thursday morning. Its morning volume of 226,000 triumphed over its usual full-day average of 51,108. USVO designs and markets technology for delivery of digital media.

Camelot Entertainment Group Inc. (OTCBB: CMGR) traded in 59.24 milion shares Thursday morning, rapidly catching up on its full-day average of 156.4 million. Share prices were flat, though, at two-100ths of a cent.

Drinks Americas Holdings Ltd. (OTCBB: DKAM) plunged in price 67.11 percent to 1.48 cents. Volume of 121,720 shares trailed its usual daily average of 836,076 shares. This leading developer and marketer of beverage products announced that its common stock resumed trading under the Company’s original ticker symbol “DKAM” at the opening of markets today. The stock had previously traded under the symbol “DKAMD” following the Reverse Split of November 15

CSCO announced this week it had completed its acquisition of privately held Mass.-based LineSider Technologies, Inc., a leading provider of network management software.

Celsion Corp. (NasdaqCM: CLSN) surrendered 11.38 percent Wednesday afternoon to $2.18. Volume of 384,651 shares quadrupled its full-day average and then some. CLSN is a biotechnology drug development company based in Columbia, Md.

SRDX jumps, GE with bright volume, BAS bad

SurModics Inc. (NasdaqGS: SRDX) surged 14.23 percent Wednesday afternoon to $11.88. Volume of 548,798 shares quadrupled its full-day average. SRDX is provider of drug delivery and surface modification technologies to the healthcare industry.

General Electric (NYSE: GE) traded in 43,357,683 shares Wednesday afternoon, closing in on its full-day average of 59,400,000. Share prices faded 1.13 per cent, to $17.49. QGC, a leading Australian coal seam gas explorer and producer, has signed a contract with a consortium of GE and Laing O’Rourke for the construction of a water treatment plant in southwest Queensland.

Basic Energy Services, Inc. (NYSE: BAS) fell 5.54 percent in Wednesday afternoon trading to $14.50. Volume of 402,054 shares compared to BAS’ full-day average of 447,652. BAS, of Midland, Texas, provides well site services essential to maintaining production from the oil and gas wells within its operating area.
