BioLase Technology, Inc. (BLTI) – Buzz Stock of the Day

Shares of dental laser manufacturer and distributor, BioLase Technology, Inc. (Nasdaq: BLTI) soared as much as 89 percent from Wednesday’s closing price in morning trading on Thursday after the company announced that it expects to report fourth quarter net revenue ranging between $9.5 million and $10 million with positive net income excluding non-cash stock option expense.

Sales to Henry Schein, Inc. (Nasdaq: HSIC), one of the BioLase’s major distributors, accounted for approximately 20 percent of the revenue in Q4.

BioLase shares opened at $1.96 on Thursday,and reached a new 52-week high of $3.17.

The Irvine-based company also issued annual revenue guidance for 2011 ranging from $55 million to $60 million, about 120 percent to 140 percent over 2010. Analysts on average are expecting  revenue of $40.4 million. Net revenue for the first quarter ended March 31, 2011, traditionally the lowest quarter of the year, is expected to range between $8.75 million to $9.25 million, up from $4.4 million in the first quarter of 2010, with positive net income.

“We foresee a very promising 2011 with revenue and earnings growth on a quarterly basis,” said BioLase’s Chairman and CEO Federico Pignatelli in a statement. “”Following a restricted marketplace brought on by the recession and constricted credit, the dental high tech capital equipment market has now shown strong signs of a turnaround and there is reason to believe that it is poised for substantial growth, with the laser dental market at the high end of the spectrum of choices.”

BioLase’s Board of Directors also approved a stock dividend of one percent effective January 19, 2011, and payable on March 31, 2011, to shareholders of record on March 15, 2011. In addition, the Board adopted a four percent annual stock dividend policy.

BioLase Technology designs, manufactures and markets proprietary dental laser systems that allow dentists, oral surgeons and other specialists to perform a broad range of common dental procedures, including cosmetic applications.

Shares of BLTI are up about 93 percent over the past three months.

HOMS gets lift, SLGLF active, GERS in red

Homeland Security Capital Corp. (OTCBB: HOMS) leaped 160 percent to 3.9 cents Thursday morning. Volume was 3.9 million shares, trumping a daily average of only 155,650. HOMS is an international provider of specialized technology-based radiological, nuclear, environmental, disaster relief, and security solutions to government and commercial customers.

Silverado Gold Mines Ltd. (OTCBB: SLGLF) traded in 18.7 million shares before midday Thursday, catching up to a full-day average of 19.3 million. Prices for the stock suffered, though, by 20.8 percent to 38-100ths of a cent. Vancouver-based SLGLF is an exploration-stage enterprise focused on the exploration of gold properties with some past production.

Greenshift Corp. (OTCBB: GERS) saw its share prices cut in half to one-100th of a cent. Volume for the stock was 1.2 million shares, way behind its daily average of 64.1 million.

CTEI spikes, APTD busy, UNLA loses

Cemtrex Inc. (OTCBB: CTEI) shot skyward Wednesday, gaining 122.2 percent in price to 10 cents. Volume of 31,000 shares closed the gap on a full-day average of 52, 585. CTEI is a world leader in providing environmental solutions to a variety of industries all over the world.

AlphaTrade.com (OTCBB: APTD) was one of the most widely traded micro-cap stocks Wednesday, dealing in 32.3 million, more than twice its all-day average. Prices for the stock dipped, however, 33.3 percent to six-100ths of a cent. APTD is a recognized financial data providing company specializing in real-time financial market data for major North American exchanges and markets.

Unilava Corp.. (OTCBB: UNLA) dropped sharply Wednesday, losing 52.9 percent to four cents. Volume for UNLA registered at 3.68 million, leaps an bounds better than its daily average of 158,710. UNLA announced Wednesday the first implementation of the their LOI with China Wi-Max Communications to identify funding and resource opportunities to support engineering and capital needs towards their joint venture, targeting markets of over $60 million U.S. in Beijing, Shanghai and Shenzhen.

EARH goes into space, SSOL popular, MMEX in mess

Earth Dragon Resources Inc. (OTCBB: EARH) was a major gainer among micro-cap stocks Wednesday, growing in price 493.8 percent to 20 cents. Volume for this stock was nearly 18,000 shares, only about a 10th of a normal daily volume. Tokyo-based EARH announce Tuesday the signing of a joint venture agreement with Netas Mining Company Ltd. (Netas Mining) in order to conduct operations on mineral concessions in Ghana which have been shown to be productive for gold.

Sunvalley Solar Inc. (OTCBB: SSOL) found its stock selling like hotcakes Wednesday, trading in 23.9 million shares, already surpassing its daily average of 16.2 million. Prices for the stock did well, too, leaping 31 percent to 93-100ths of a cent, only a day after announcing that it has signed another commercial solar installation contract with Vessey & Co in Holtville, California.

Management Energy Inc. (OTCBB: MMEX) halved its price in early Wednesday trading to five cents. Volume of 1.5 million towered over its usual volume of 24,387. Dallas-based MMEX is an exploration stage company engaged in the acquisition and development of coal reserves in the United States and South America.

MCTC skyrockets, CCTR solid, VTDI not so visible

MicroChannel Technologies Corp. (OTCBB: MCTC) soared 150 percent in price to 10 cents Tuesday. Volume for the stock was 118,510 shares, compared to a full-day average of just less than 40,000. MCTC is a development stage technology company focused on the identification, acquisition, and development of technologies and products which it believes has the potential for commercialization.

China Crescent Enterprises Inc. (OTCBB: CCTR) was a busy trader Tuesday, dealing in 77.1 million shares, compared to a daily average of 29 million shares. Prices went south, however, by 14.3 percent to 12-100ths of a cent. NuMobile, Inc. China Crescent and Savanna East Africa have partnered to build a wireless broadband network in Kenya.

Visitrade Inc. (OTCBB: VTDI) dipped 62.5 percent to 1.5 cents Tuesday. Volume was 22,700 shares, just nosing out its daily average of 16,522. VTDI focuses to operate as an online retailer of aftermarket Triumph motorcycle parts, accessories, and apparel.
