CRDC in gear, INTC busy trader, ENMD drops

Cardica Inc. (NasdaqGM: CRDC) rocketed up 23.49 percent mid-afternoon Monday to $3.47. Volume for the stock was 630,521 shares, or more than 10 times its normal daily average. CRDC designs and manufactures proprietary stapling and anastomotic devices for cardiac and endoscopic surgical procedures.

Intel Corp. (NasdaqGS: INTC) traded in 56,971,125 shares, closing in on Intel’s its normal daily average of 59,805,000. Prices for the chipmaker tailed off a bit, though, 1.87 percent to $21.50.

EntreMed Inc. (NasdaqCM: ENMD) moved earthward 7.35 percent to $5.04 on Monday afternoon. Volume was 206,151 shares, more than double its full-day average. ENMD, based in Rockville, Md., is a clinical-stage pharmaceutical company developing therapeutics for the treatment of cancer

YOKU moves skyward, INTC busy, GRB skids

YOUKU.COM (NYSE: YOKU) grew 27.72 percent in price Thursday afternoon to $42.71. Volume of 14,547,545 shares is catching up on its daily average of 16.94 million. The Chinese Internet television company celebrated its IPO Wednesday.

Intel Corporation (NasdaqGS: INTC) traded in 44,197,894 shares, to make it among the volume leaders early Thursday afternoon, catching up on its daily average of 60,330,900. Share prices were flat at $21.82.

Gerber Scientific Inc. (NYSE: GRB) fell in price 21.29 percent Thursday to $6.69, on volume of 63,726 shares, slightly more than its normal full-day average. The Connecticut-based Gerber reported revenue increased 9.0% to $129.3 million from $118.7 million. Gross profit was $38.6 million or 29.9% of sales versus $35.2 million or 29.7% of sales.

GKK grand, INTC in the chips, RPRX gets stung

Intel Corp. (NasdaqGS: INTC) traded Wednesday in 52,197,726 shares, less than its daily share average of 62,444,600. Shares nudged up 1.52 percent to $21.48. INTC 52-week price peak is around $24.37

Repros Therapeutics Inc. (NasdaqCM: RPRX) took a licking by Wednesday’s close, losing 12.16 percent to $1.30, on volume of 221,792, slightly higher than daily average of 160,083. RPRX focuses on the development of oral small molecule drugs for major unmet medical needs that treat male and female reproductive disorders.

RITT rips loose, INTC busy, CHYR swoons

RIT Technologies Ltd. (NasdaqCM: RITT) jumped in price 25.36 percent to close Monday at $9.64. RITT shares traded in 229,018 shares Monday, compared to a daily average of 256,862. Based in Israel, RITT is a leading provider of intelligent solutions for infrastructure management, asset management, environment and security, and network utilization.

Intel Corp. (NasdaqGS: INTC) was among the volume champions on Wall Street Mnoday, with 46,696,504 shares trading, or just less than its daily average of 60.6 million. Prices for the Santa Clara, CA-based computer chip maker faded 0.05 percent to $21.33.

Chyron Corp. (NasdaqCM: CHYR) dropped 12.76 percent Monday afternoon to $2.05. Volume of 45,281 shares quadrupled the stock’s daily average volume. The Melville, New York-based CHYR is a leading provider of Graphics as a Service for on air, online, out of home, and mobile applications.

BORN soars in price, INTC big seller, UQM sinks

China New Borun Corporation (NYSE: BORN) saw a spike in price of 11.8 percent in Thursday afternoon trade to $12.41 Volume of 903,056 shares is to within sight of its daily average of 1,246,800 shares. The Beijing-based producer and distributor of corn-based edible alcohol in China, this week announced third-quarter revenue increased 26.1 percent to RMB417.7 million ($62.3 million U.S.) from RMB331.1 million in the third quarter of 2009. Gross profit increased 31.2 percent to RMB100.9 million ($15.1 million).

Intel Corp. (NasdaqGS: INTC) traded in 48,084,401 shares Thursday afternoon, approaching its usual daily volume of 67,954,000 shares. Shares of the chipmaker fell back 0.38 percent to $21.00. The company announced its storage division has recently added new major wins with five storage vendors, illustrating the company’s momentum around developing advanced integrated storage features and capabilities.

UQM Technologies Inc. (AMEX: UQM) fell in price Thursday by 3.81 percent to $2.02. Volume of 224,907 shares was still shy of UQM’s usual daily volume of 281, 265 shares. The Colorado-based UQM develops of alternative energy technologies.
