NTES shows knack, BAC backtracks, JACK shows cracks

NetEase.com Inc. (Nasdaq: NTES) U.S.-listed shares rose 7.2% to $45.95, on share volume of 1.9 million, nearly triple its full-day average, after the Chinese provider of online games reported a fourth-quarter profit that beat Wall Street estimates late Wednesday.

Bank of America Corporation (NYSE: BAC) traded in 51.9 million shares before noon ET Thursday, catching up on an all-day average of 186.7 million. BAC prices dropped 1.9%, though, to $13.90.

Jack in the Box Inc. (Nasdaq: JACK) shares fell 5.8% to $21.95, on volume of 614,000, already outdistancing its daily average of around 541,000, a day after the fast-food chain reported its quarterly results and updated guidance for the year.

NDSN stronger, GE charged up, LL falls

Nordson Corp. (Nasdaq: NDSN) shares rose 13.1% to $109.12, on share volume of nearly 960,000, or more than four times its average, a day after the manufacturer of precision-dispensing equipment reported a rise in first-quarter profit.

General Electric Company (NYSE: GE) traded Wednesday in 84.1 million shares, surpassing a daily average of 59 million. Prices for GE turned downward 2.2% to $20.37, after announcing it was going to battle rival Siemens to produce a better quality electric-car charger.

Lumber Liquidators Holdings (NYSE: LL) tumbled 10.6% to $24.44 Wednesday, on share volume of more than 1.6 million, nearly five times its daily average, after missing its revenue targets for Q4.

BDCO swims, CSCO busy, FFHL futile

Blue Dolphin Energy Corp. (Nasdaq: BDCO) galloped 53.8% to $5.75, on share volume of 1.2 million, towering over its daily average of 17,444.

Cisco Systems Inc. (Nasdaq: CSCO) was among the volume leaders Wednesday, trading in 46.8 million shares, pursuing a daily average of 71.6 million. Prices for CSCO settled 1.2% to $18.36.

Fuwei Films Holdings, INC. (Nasdaq: FFHL) faded 24.4% to $4.73 Wednesday, on share volume of more than 370,000, nearly four times its daily average, after the company announced that it received lowest anti-dumping duty (ADD) rate of 30.91%, while the ADD for four other Chinese companies was 36.93%, as the US Department of Commerce began its annual anti-dumping duty review.

Ford Motor Company (NYSE: F) traded in 51.5 million shares Wednesday, compared to an all-day average of 79.0 million. Prices for F dipped 2.7% to $14.82, after announcing a recall of 144,000 F-150 trucks to correct airbag problems.
