CTEI spikes, APTD busy, UNLA loses

Cemtrex Inc. (OTCBB: CTEI) shot skyward Wednesday, gaining 122.2 percent in price to 10 cents. Volume of 31,000 shares closed the gap on a full-day average of 52, 585. CTEI is a world leader in providing environmental solutions to a variety of industries all over the world.

CIMT catches fire, C trades widely, LNET eases off

Cimatron Limited (Nasdaq: CIMT) climbed 17.4 percent to $4.30 Wednesday. Volume of 238,432 shares very nearly quadrupled its full-day volume average, on word CIMT has signed a partnership and distribution agreement with Atometric Inc., a provider of CNC micro-machining centers and contract micro-machining solutions.

Citigroup Inc. (NYSE: C) was a volume leader early Wednesday, trading in 249,690,475 shares, catching up on its full-day average of 554,789,000. Prices for the stock inched up 0.3 percent to $4.82., after Oppenheimer fixed an Outperform rating and $5.50 price target.

LodgeNet Interactive Corporation (Nasdaq: LNET) tanked 24 percent Wednesday to $3.13. Volume for the stock was 1,813,261 shares, seven times its normal daily volume. DTLK has rosy outlook, VZ turns up volume, ONSM slips

Datalink (Nasdaq: DTLK) sprinted ahead 29.1 percent to $5.86, a three-year high. Volume of 1,649,908 shares trampled its full-day volume average of 35,395, on word DTLK raised its fourth-quarter outlook on increased demand for its storage products.

Verizon Communications Inc. (NYSE: VZ) was a volume leader Tuesday, trading in 41,815,258 shares, 2 ½ times its full-day average. Prices for the stock were down 3.1 percent to $34.36. VZ announced last week that it will begin selling Apple’s iPhone early next month.

YGE in the green, INTC in groove, EMMS in doldrums

Yingli Green Energy Holding Co. (NYSE: YGE) showed a lot of energy Tuesday, advancing 9.6 percent in price to $11.52. Volume was a hefty 6,437,078 shares, or nearly twice its full-day volume average. YGE is a leading solar energy company and one of the world’s largest vertically integrated photovoltaic manufacturers.

Intel Inc. (Nasdaq: INTC) got the word out Tuesday, trading in 41,828,185 shares, shy of its full-day average of 55,659,500. Prices for the stock were flat at $21.08. Arizona Gov. Jan Brewer wants to cut corporate income and business equipment taxes as well as expanding breaks for INTC and other manufacturers.

Emmis Communications Corporation (Nasdaq: EMMS) fell 11 percent to $1.05. Volume for the stock was 320,382 shares, just a shade below its all-day average of 342,520.

MCTC skyrockets, CCTR solid, VTDI not so visible

MicroChannel Technologies Corp. (OTCBB: MCTC) soared 150 percent in price to 10 cents Tuesday. Volume for the stock was 118,510 shares, compared to a full-day average of just less than 40,000. MCTC is a development stage technology company focused on the identification, acquisition, and development of technologies and products which it believes has the potential for commercialization.

China Crescent Enterprises Inc. (OTCBB: CCTR) was a busy trader Tuesday, dealing in 77.1 million shares, compared to a daily average of 29 million shares. Visitrade Inc. (OTCBB: VTDI) dipped 62.5 percent to 1.5 cents Tuesday. Volume was 22,700 shares, just nosing out its daily average of 16,522. VTDI focuses to operate as an online retailer of aftermarket Triumph motorcycle parts, accessories, and apparel.
