FUL fully wonderful, AA busy, LAS in reverse

H.B. Fuller Co. (NYSE: FUL) stock was up 15.1 percent to $23.00 after the adhesives manufacturer projected 2011 profit exceeding the consensus estimate. Volume for the stock was 1,386,133 shares, compared to its daily average of 225,469

Alcoa Inc. (NYSE: AA) traded in 42,082,114 shares Wednesday, besting its daily average of 26,060,100. Prices for AA were flat at $16.24. Wednesday, an analyst at RBC Dominion Securities downgraded the stock to “underperform” from “sector perform.”

Lentuo International Inc. (NYSE: LAS) fell 6 percent Wednesday to $5.76 Volume for the stock was 161,996 shares, surpassing its daily average of 97,159. LAS is the largest non-state-owned automobile retailer in Beijing.

CBSO skyrockets, CGFIA sells widely, HSYT bruised

CommunitySouth Financial Corp. (OTCBB: CBSO) watched its stock travel to the stratosphere, gaining 200 percent to 15 cents shortly before Thursday’s closing. Volume was 31,030 shares, overwhelming its usual share volume of 4,969. The Easley, S.C.-based CBSO is the parent company of CommunitySouth Bank & Trust.

Colorado Goldfields Inc. (OTCBB: CGFIA) saw its shares fly off the shelves Thursday, trading in 292.88 million shares, compared to a daily average of 59.16 million. Share prices scaled back 50 percent, however, to one-10th of a cent. CGFIA is a Denver-based junior exploration and mining company primarily exploring for gold and silver.

Home System Group (OTCBB: HSYT) dipped 55 percent to $1.26 Thursday, on volume of 16,380 shares, compared to usual volume of 1,981. HSYT is a Chinese – based manufacturer of a variety of household appliances sold by large retailers.

WGO travels, LVS flexes muscle, CEU sued

Winnebago Industries, Inc. (NYSE: WGO) zoomed up 13.94 percent in price Thursday to $14.91. Volume of 1,661,360 shares triumphed over its full-day average of 285,609 shares. The motor home giant Thursday announced quarterly results. Revenues for the first quarter of Fiscal 2011 ended November 27, 2010 were $123.7 million, an increase of 52.7 percent, versus $81.0 million for the first quarter of Fiscal 2010. The Company reported an operating profit of $4.9 million for the quarter, versus an operating loss of $6.0 million for the first quarter of Fiscal 2010.

Las Vegas Sands Corp. (NYSE: LVS) was a volume leader Thursday, trading in 41,953,024 shares, surpassing its full-day average shortly before 3 p.m. ET. LVS share prices gained 6.27 per cent, to $44.92. LVS said Thursday it expects Vegas group room-rates to rise at least 10% by 2012.

China Education Alliance, Inc. (NYSE: CEU) gave back 7.57 percent Thursday to $2.32, on volume of 335,933 shares were about half its full day average of 620,807. The drop comes amid news that a class action securities fraud lawsuit has been filed in the United States District Court for the Central District of California on behalf of purchasers of CEU common stock between March 31, 2009 and November 29, 2010

BWOW wows, CSCO busy, LPHI steps back

Wowjoint Holdings Ltd. (NasdaqGS: BWOW) ballooned 44.44 percent in price Thursday to $3.77. Volume of 60,600 shares proved 20 times its full-day average. The Beijing-based BWOW is a leading provider of customized heavy duty lifting and carrying machinery used in large scale infrastructure projects such as railway, highway and bridge construction

Cisco Systems Inc. (NasdaqGS: CSCO) traded Thursday in 36,433,475 shares, or about half its full-day average. CSCO share prices gained 1.23 per cent, to $19.71.

Life Partners Holdings Inc (NasdaqGS: LPHI) tumbles 15.79 percent Thursday to $16.75, on volume of 291,687 shares, dwarfing its full day average of 85,703. LPHI, the world’s oldest and one of the most active companies in the United States engaged in the secondary market for life insurance, announced earlier this month a five-for-four split in its common stock.

MITD soars, WLSI high volume, SGGV slumps

MIT Holding Inc. (OTCBB: MITD) climbed 400 percent Thursday to 3.5 cents. Volume was 15,120 shares, eclipsing its full-day average of 6,023. The Company, through its three wholly-owned subsidiaries, distributes wholesale pharmaceuticals, administers intravenous infusions, operates an ambulatory center where therapies are administered, and sells and rents home medical equipment.

Wellstar International Inc. (OTCBB: WLSI) traded widely in 71.22 million shares, outdistancing its daily average of 66.6 million. Prices were flat, though, at one-100th of a cent. WLSI is a provider of specialized diagnostic software and equipment.

Sterling Group Ventures Inc. (OTCBB: SGGV) plummeted 53.85 percent Thursday to six cents. Volume for the stock was 89,500, trampling a daily average of 3,415.
