Sirius XM Radio Inc. (Nasdaq: SIRI) traded in 30 million shares Wednesday, still trailing its daily average of 49.1 million. Prices dipped 0.8% to $1.77, after the company hinted revenues will beat expectations on next week’s release of “Valentine’s Radio,” a four-day, limited-run channel.

USANA Health Sciences Inc. (NYSE: USNA) shares faded 12.5% to $35.20 Wednesday. Volume of 273,149 shares towered over a full-day average of 41,636, after announcing its fourth-quarter profit improved 21% over the year before.

Intel Corp. (Nasdaq: INTC) traded in 32.9 million shares Wednesday, still trailing its daily average of 54.5 million. Prices dipped 0.7% to $21.49.

World Heart Corporation (Nasdaq: WHRT) shares faded 16.1% to $1.56 Wednesday. Volume of 266,048 shares more than tripled its full-day average, after pausing enrollment in its heart device study.

SWS goes into stratosphere, MSFT manages, NVTL goes lower

Microsoft Inc. (Nasdaq: MSFT) traded in 32.2 million shares Wednesday, closing in on its daily average of 56.8 million. Prices dipped 0.8% to $28.07, on announcing it’s promoting Senior Vice President Satya Nadella, who was instrumental in the launch of Bing search engine, to lead one of its fastest growing and most profitable divisions — the server and tools business.

Novatel Wireless Inc. (Nasdaq: NVTL) shares tumbled 14.9% to $6.29 Wednesday. Volume was 2.3 million shares, more than triple its full-day average, after an analyst lowered his investment rating on the broadband services provider, citing increasing competition.

RL wears well, MU trades more, MD has headaches

Polo Ralph Lauren Corp, (NYSE: RL) stock rallied 9.7% to $127.00 Wednesday, on volumes of nearly 2.5 million or three times its normal volume, after the retailer delivered a $168.4-million U.S. profit — thanks to solid holiday season sales.

Micron Technology Inc. (Nasdaq: MU) traded in 33.1 million shares Wednesday, closing in on its daily average of 35.6 million. Prices dipped 1.1% to $11.32.

MediaMind Technologies, Inc. (Nasdaq: MDMD) shares tumbled 15.1% to $13.54 Wednesday. Volume was 172,646 shares, nearly triple its full-day average, a day after reporting quarterly revenues of $25.9 million, or 15% from the prior-year quarter.
