EHTH healthy, SIRI booms, TSTY baked

E-Health Inc. (Nasdaq: EHTH) shares rallied 14.5% to $13.33. Volume was 1.8 million shares, triumphing over a daily average of 351,000, after the online health-insurance provider reported fourth-quarter profit that beat forecasts, though it gave a more pessimistic view of 2011 earnings than analysts had forecasted.

Sirius XM Radio Inc. (Nasdaq: SIRI) traded in 38.3 million shares Thursday, catching up on its daily average of 51.4 million, SIRI prices improved 0.6% to $1.80.

Tasty Baking Company (Nasdaq: TSTY) lost 10.7% in price Thursday to $2.34. Volume was 299,365 shares, more than four times its daily average.

DPS pops, INTC active, BBW bearish

Dr Pepper Snapple Group Inc. (NYSE: DPS) shares rose 5.4% to $36.10, on 3.4 million shares, nearly double its daily average after the beverage maker’s fourth-quarter earnings came in ahead of Wall Street estimates.

Intel Corporation (Nasdaq: INTC) dealt in 41.1 million shares Thursday, catching up on its daily average of 53.2 million, INTC prices improved 1.3% to $22.03. President Obama has summoned executives of various tech companies to the White House for a conference.

Build-a-Bear Workshop Inc. (NYSE: BBW) gave back 11.8% in price Thursday to $6.96. Volume was 595,000 shares, more than five times its daily average, after the retailer reported fourth-quarter net income of nearly $8.3 million compared with a loss of $916,000 in the fourth quarter of fiscal 2009.

MMAX to the max, ELCR floors it, MWWC mucky

MMax Media Inc. (OTCBB: MMAX) shares catapulted 170% Thursday to 54 cents. Volume in the stock was upwards of 128,000, or more than 10 times its daily average, after agreeing to merge with Hyperlocal Marketing, LLC.

Electric Car Company Inc. (OTCBB: ELCR) drew a lot of buyers Thursday, dealing in 127.7 million shares, compared to a daily average of 93.5 million. Share prices for ELCR were flat at one-100th of a cent.

Marketing Worldwide Corp. (OTCBB: MWWC) witnessed its price chopped in half to a penny, on share volume of 131,450 shares, nearing an average around 135,000. MWWC is a designer and manufacturer of accessories for the customization of cars, sport utility vehicles and light trucks.

WMB jumps, BRCD gets word out, ULBI reports

Williams Companies Inc. (NYSE: WMB) shares gained 7% to $29.71. Share volume was 27.3 million, or better than quadruple its daily average, a day after it said it would divide its pipeline and exploration business into two separate public companies.

Brocade Communication Systems (Nasdaq: BRCD) sold like hotcakes Thursday, trading in 28.5 million shares Thursday, already doubling its daily average. BRCD prices grew 5.3% to $6.03, with earnings set to be released after Thursday’s closing bell.

UltraLife Corporation (Nasdaq: ULBI) plummeted 11.1% in price Thursday to $5.44. Volume was 395,000 shares, better than triple its daily average, on reporting quarterly operating income of $1.6 million on revenue of $50.4 million.

CAGC jumps, BAC busy, QTWWD slips

China Agritech, Inc. (Nasdaq: CAGC) shares advanced 7.3% to $7.96, on share volume of 584,738, already besting a full-day average of 417,211 after the company announced it is introducing an innovative new line of organic liquid compound fertilizers that improves crop drought resistance.

Bank of America (NYSE: BAC) proved a volume champion early on Thursday, trading in 30.1 million shares Thursday, approaching a daily average of 188 million. Share prices settled 0.2% to $14.81, after announcing Nexen had hired BAC to find B.C. Shale Gas Partners.

Quantum Fuel Systems Technological (Nasdaq: QTWWD) sank 15.6% in price Thursday to $5.04. Volume was 492,000 shares, trouncing a daily average of 59,000.
