OEDV overwhelms, PTSH solid, SNAS swoons

Osage Exploration and Development Inc. (OTCBB: OEDV) galloped ahead 185.7% in price to 20 cents Monday, on volume of 13,470 shares, well behind a daily average of around 75,000. OEDV is an independent exploration and production company with interests in oil and gas wells and prospects in the U.S. and Colombia.

PTS Inc. (OTCBB: PTSH) had a busy Monday, trading in 143 million shares, compared to its usual average of 12.5 million. Share prices were flat, though, at two-100ths of a cent. The Company’s current purpose is to seek, investigate and, if such investigation warrants, acquire an interest in business opportunities presented to it by persons or firms who or which desire to seek the perceived advantages of a Corporation.

Sino Assurance Inc. (OTCBB: SNAS) sagged 70% in price to 15 cents Monday on volume of 19,780 shares, 50% better than it trades most days. SNAS through its subsidiaries and variable interest entity, is mainly engaged in the provision of surety and tendering guarantees service to corporations and individuals in China.


BIDZ amazing, JDSU trades, AXTI takes beating

Bidz.com (Nasdaq: BIDZ) shares ballooned 15.8% to $1.56, on volumes of 860, 625 shares, trouncing a daily average of 34,422 shares.

JDS Uniphase Corp. (Nasdaq: JDSU) traded in 28.5 million shares Monday, better than quadrupling a daily average of 6.8 million. Share prices swooned 1% to $27.88. JDS recently reported a 142% jump in fourth-quarter earnings per share as sales rose 38% to $473.5 million.

AXT Inc. (Nasdaq: AXTI) shares slipped 12.6% to $9.81, on volume of 1.7 million shares, more than tripling its daily average. AXT will release its financials Feb. 23.


NFLX is star, MU mighty, CPSL slumps

Netflix Inc. (Nasdaq: NFLX) shares rose 6.3%. to $245.72, on volumes of 8.1 million shares, surpassing a daily average of 5.6 million shares. Caris & Co. raised its price target to $316 from $224.

Micron Technology (Nasdaq: MU) traded in 53.8 million shares Monday, routing a daily average of 35.7 million. Share prices increased 2.4% to $11.60, after ThinkEquity boosted its estimates, to a buy rating and new $15 price target.

China Precision Steel Inc. (Nasdaq: CPSL) shares slipped 14.3% to $1.86, on volume of 2.5 million shares, quadrupling its daily average. The company announces financials Tuesday.


INPH incredible, F on move, MMI sags

Interphase Corporation (Nasdaq: INPH) shares launched 14.6% higher Monday to $4.70. Volume topped two million shares, towering over an average around 59,000. The company last week reported quarterly revenues were up 24% to $5.8 million when compared to $4.7 million for the fourth quarter of 2009.

Ford Motor Company (NYSE: F) traded in 48.8 million shares Monday, compared to a daily average of 89.8 million. Share prices fell flat 1.9% to $16.07, after announcing the sale of $586 million worth of securities.

Motorola Mobility Holdings Inc. (NYSE: MMI) shares shed 5% to $29.59, on volume of 3.4 million shares, just shy of its four-million-share daily average, after the cell-phone maker said it bought software developer Three Laws Mobility Inc. for an undisclosed sum late last year.


DBD cashes in, BAC busy, NOK knocked

Diebold Inc. (NYSE: DBD) shares added 6.4% to $34.91, on volume of 1.2 million shares, or more than triple its daily average, after the ATM manufacturer reported better-than-expected fourth-quarter results.

Bank of America Corporation (NYSE: BAC) traded in 62 million shares Monday, compared to a daily average of 189 million. Share prices inched up 0.5% to $14.84.

Nokia Corp. (NYSE: NOK) shares declined 5.4% to $8.85, on volume of 65.1 million shares, towering over a daily average of 24.2 after the Finnish phone maker announced an alliance with software giant Microsoft Corp. (Nasdaq: MSFT), whose stock fell 0.4% to $27.13.
