CEYY flies, UNDT busy, ECOC sheds

Fresh Start Private Management Inc. (OTCBB: CEYY) leaped 221.43 percent Monday to 18 cents. Share volume was a whopping 1.46 million shares, more than 11 times its full-day average of 122,125. The Calif.-based CEYY is a leader in the alcohol treatment and rehabilitation industry.

Universal Detection Technology (OTCBB: UNDT) saw its shares fly off the shelves in early Monday afternoon trading, doing volume of 255.07 million shares, trampling its normal volume of just under 16 million. Prices for the stock rocketed up 66.67 percent to five-100ths of a cent. UNDT, based in Los Angeles and a developer of early-warning monitoring technologies to protect people from bioterrorism and other infectious health threats and provider of counter-terrorism consulting and training services, announced today that it has entered into a distribution agreement with Brazil-based ORMAX Tecnologia em Seguranca.

Ecology Coatings Inc. (OTCBB: ECOC) slumped in early afternoon trade Monday, dumping 57.14 percent in price to 1.5 cents. Volume for the stock was 54,830 shares, compared to a daily average of 16,324. The Michigan-based ECOC is a leader in the discovery and development of nanotechnology-enabled, ultraviolet-curable advanced coatings.

ETM beaming, UNG strong volume, YOKU stumbles

Entercom Communications Corp. (NYSE: ETM) vaulted 10.16 percent in price Thursday to close at $10.30. Volume of 203,323 shares outdid its daily average of 158,803 shares. Entercom Communications Corp. is one of the five largest radio broadcasting companies in the United States, with a nationwide portfolio in excess of 100 stations in 23 markets.

United States Natural Gas Fund (NYSEArca: UNG) was a volume leader Thursday, trading in 48,552,547 shares, doubling its daily average of 24,676,700. Share prices for UNG eased 4.85 percent to $5.54.

Youku.com Inc. (NYSE: YOKU) fell 9.31 percent Thursday to close at $30.20, on volume of 5,865,290 shares, just better than half its daily average. YOKU is a leading Chinese Internet television company.

CGEN boosted, GE busy, CERP slides

Compugen Ltd. (NasdaqCM: CGEN) prospered 16.32 percent in price Thursday to $4.49. Volume of 488,799 shares swamped its daily average of 76,429 shares. CGEN this week announced that administration of CGEN-15001 in an animal model of rheumatoid arthritis (RA) dramatically ameliorates the clinical symptoms of the disease. These results, combined with earlier results in an animal model of multiple sclerosis (MS), strongly support the therapeutic potential of CGEN-15001 for multiple autoimmune diseases and inflammatory conditions.

General Electric Company (NYSE: GE) was a volume leader Thursday, trading in 52,211,672 shares, falling short of its daily average of 59,748,000. Share prices for GE nipped up 1.60 percent to $17.77. GE Capital Media, Communications & Entertainment today announced that it will serve as Administrative Agent for a new $230MM senior secured credit facility for Lightower Fiber Networks, a leading fiber network and broadband service provider in the Northeast. GE Capital Markets served as lead left bookrunner on the transaction, which closed November 30

Cereplast Inc. (NasdaqCM: CERP) fell 10.46 percent Thursday to close at $3.51, on volume of 99,792 shares, better by a half than its daily average. CERP is a leading manufacturer of proprietary bio-based, compostable and sustainable plastics.

BWOW wows, CSCO busy, LPHI steps back

Wowjoint Holdings Ltd. (NasdaqGS: BWOW) ballooned 44.44 percent in price Thursday to $3.77. Volume of 60,600 shares proved 20 times its full-day average. The Beijing-based BWOW is a leading provider of customized heavy duty lifting and carrying machinery used in large scale infrastructure projects such as railway, highway and bridge construction

Cisco Systems Inc. (NasdaqGS: CSCO) traded Thursday in 36,433,475 shares, or about half its full-day average. CSCO share prices gained 1.23 per cent, to $19.71.

Life Partners Holdings Inc (NasdaqGS: LPHI) tumbles 15.79 percent Thursday to $16.75, on volume of 291,687 shares, dwarfing its full day average of 85,703. LPHI, the world’s oldest and one of the most active companies in the United States engaged in the secondary market for life insurance, announced earlier this month a five-for-four split in its common stock.

MITD soars, WLSI high volume, SGGV slumps

MIT Holding Inc. (OTCBB: MITD) climbed 400 percent Thursday to 3.5 cents. Volume was 15,120 shares, eclipsing its full-day average of 6,023. The Company, through its three wholly-owned subsidiaries, distributes wholesale pharmaceuticals, administers intravenous infusions, operates an ambulatory center where therapies are administered, and sells and rents home medical equipment.

Wellstar International Inc. (OTCBB: WLSI) traded widely in 71.22 million shares, outdistancing its daily average of 66.6 million. Prices were flat, though, at one-100th of a cent. WLSI is a provider of specialized diagnostic software and equipment.

Sterling Group Ventures Inc. (OTCBB: SGGV) plummeted 53.85 percent Thursday to six cents. Volume for the stock was 89,500, trampling a daily average of 3,415.
