OXM celebrates, CSCO busy, BIOF backslides

Oxford Industries, Inc. (NYSE: OXM) galloped ahead 23.91 percent in price Wednesday to $27.47. Volume of 799,682 shares swamped its daily average of 143,603. OXM is an international apparel design, sourcing and marketing company.

Cisco Systems Inc. (Nasdaq: CSCO) traded in 30,591,580 shares Wednesday, less than half, however, of its daily average of 71,916,500. Share prices for CSCO were flat at $19.53.

BioFuel Energy Corp. (Nasdaq: BIOF) fell 16.08 percent in price Wednesday to $1.67, on volume of 738,567 shares, compared to a full-day average of 491,308. The Denver-based BIOF currently has two 115 million gallons per year ethanol plants in the Midwestern corn belt.

MZBYE jumps, CMGR busy, UGDM demurs

Mezabay International Inc. (OTCBB: MZBYE) leaped in price 62.5 percent to 21-100ths of a cent. Volume was 6.69 million shares, towering over its normal volume average of 603,264 shares a day. The Company is engaged in the e-commerce business including IT consulting, programming and display advertising services.

Camelot Entertainment Group Inc. (OTCBB: CMGR) was busy in Wednesday trading, with 160.69 million shares changing hands, just shy of its usual daily average of 180.7 million. CMGR projects gross sales for 2010 to exceed $2,200,000, with revenues expected to exceed $500,000.

Universal Gold Mining Corp. (OTCBB: UGDM) scaled back 54.3 percent to 16 cents Wednesday, on volume of 58,000 shares, falling short of its daily average of 71, 543. UGDM is a gold exploration and development company aiming to develop a diversified portfolio of gold mining assets in frontier territories.

ZOOM takes off, BAC busy, EMKR loses traction

Zoom Technologies Inc. (Nasdaq: ZOOM) hiked 37.07 percent in price Wednesday to $5.25. Volume of 4,118,839 shares blew its daily average of 167,512 out of the water. Zoom Technologies is a holding company with subsidiaries that engage in the manufacturing, research and development, and sale of electronic and telecommunication products for the latest generation mobile phones.

Bank of America Corp. (NYSE: BAC) traded in 122,766,272 shares, catching up to its daily average of 214,627,000. Share prices gained 3.35 percent by noon to $13.41.

EMCORE Corp. (Nasdaq: EMKR) fell 20.13 percent in price Wednesday to $1.27, on volume of 3,157,836 shares, nearly four times its full-day average. The Albuquerque-based EMKR is a leading provider of compound semiconductor-based components.

SENZ jumps, FLTT high volume, HTEC takes header

Sport Endurance, Inc. (OTCBB: SENZ) sprinted ahead 134.55 percent Wednesday to 1.29 cents. Volume totaled 1.4 million shares, outdistancing its full-day average of 1.15 million. SENZ is a health supplement company based in Salt Lake City.

Flint Telecom Group Inc. (OTCBB: FLTT) showed impressive volume among micro-caps Wednesday, trading in 80.4 million shares, more than triple its full-day volume. Prices soared 38.46 percent to 18-100ths of a cent. The company, located in Overland Park, Kansas, announced last week that its Indian subsidiary will likely commence prepaid debit cards and remittance services to Indian banks and their customers as early as next quarter.

Hydron Technologies Inc. (OTCBB: HTEC) stumbled in price Wednesday 56.52 percent to one-10ths of a cent. Volume was 187,830 shares, compared to 4,267, its normal full-day average. The Company markets cosmetic and oral health care products.

PPHM gets oomph, GE trades widely, NAII loses strength

Peregrine Pharmaceuticals Inc. (Nasdaq: PPHM) added 34.34 percent in price Monday to close at $2.23. Volume of 3,418,741 shares proved more than five times its daily average. The Calif.-based PPHM, a clinical-stage biopharmaceutical company today announced the completion of enrollment in the company’s Phase II dose confirmation trial of Cotara® in patients with recurrent glioblastoma multiforme (GBM), the deadliest form of brain cancer.

General Electric Company (NYSE: GE) traded in 40,410,548 shares, making it a volume leader, but falling short of its daily average of 59,801,500. Share prices were flat at $17.70. GE has received and is reviewing the engineering performance standards issued today by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency for the second phase of the Hudson River dredging project, one of the largest environmental cleanups ever conducted in the United States.

Natural Alternatives International Inc. (Nasdaq: NAII) gave back 13.97 percent in price Monday to $5.85, on volume of 231,737 shares, swarming its daily average of 15,446. NAII, based in San Marcos, Calif., is a leading formulator, manufacturer and marketer of customized nutritional supplements.
