AFFX affirmative, S does business, SPMD slumps

CRMD takes wing, NVDA dizzy, RFMI turfs

NVIDIA Corporation (Nasdaq: NVDA) traded in 57,205,492 shares Wednesday, nearly tripling its daily average. Prices for NVDA leapt 12.5 percent to $22.85. The chip maker’s stock is now up more than 100% over the past three months amid upbeat analyst reviews of its recent initiatives, particularly in the tablet and smart phone markets.

RF Monolithics, Inc. (Nasdaq: RFMI) fell 5.7 percent Wednesday to $1.82 Volume for the stock was 252,129 shares or more than eight times its daily average. Tuesday, the Dallas-based RFMI reported quarterly net income of $160,000 or $0.01 per share.

CRIS incredible, MU moves shares, THOR loses ground

ASTM up, GE with bright volume, ESI falters

Aastrom Biosciences Inc. (Nasdaq: ASTM) shares gained 22.7 percent to $3.19 Monday. Volume of 8,380,362 shares was more than 3 1/2 times its usual volume. The company will be presenting Phase 2 Surgical-DCM six-month results sometime this month.

GE Energy Financial Services, and Bankers Commercial Corporation, a unit of UnionBanCal Corporation, announced today that they have purchased the first wind farm to start operations in one of the largest wind energy projects in the United States.

ITT Educational Services, Inc. (NYSE: ESI) dipped 12.3 percent Monday to $56.62. Volume for the stock of 1,899,031 shares doubled its daily average, and then some. ESI is a leading provider of post-secondary degree programs.

ADMT gallops, ILNS busy, GCMI trips

ADM Tronics Unlimited. Inc. (OTCBB: ADMT) soared 133.33 percent to 2.1 cents Monday afternoon. Volume for this microcap stock was 1.11 million, overwhelming its usual daily volume of 39,572. ADMT is a technology-based developer and manufacturer of diversified lines of products and derives revenue from the production and sale of environmentally safe chemical products.

Intellect Neurosciences Inc. (OTCBB: ILNS) was one of the busiest microcaps Monday, trading in 78.3 million shares, or nearly five times its normal daily average. Prices vaulted 10.5 percent to 21-100ths of a cent. ILNS is a biopharmaceutical company with an internal preclinical and clinical-stage pipeline and multiple licenses with major pharmaceutical companies.

Geos Communications Inc. (OTCBB: GCMI) took a header of 68.6 percent late Monday afternoon to 1.1 cents. Volume was 381,820 shares, more than 10 times its normal daily average. GCMI is a developer and distributor of mobile applications and communications services.
